Burris Xtreme Tactical XTR II 8-40x50mm Precision Rifle Scope with 5x Zoom and Zero Click Stop Adjustment
Theย Burris XTR II 8-40×50 201081ย is the largest magnification scopeย Burrisย has. The rear focal planeย illuminatedย F-class MOA reticleย is fine and minimally covers the target as subtensions change with zoom and tune the ballistic reticles. Theย Burris XTR II 8-40×50ย was originally designed to be a competition benchrest scope with extreme accuracy and precision competitive shooters require, but it has become popular among shooters who like to shoot prairie dogs.

Special Note:ย The illuminated reticle on the XTR II 8-40×50 F-Class reticle is unique. The only part of the reticle which illuminates are three small dots, the first is at the center cross intersection and the others on the vertical post at the 10 and 20 MOA references respectively. Even at its highest setting these illuminated dots are quite faint and will not be visible except in the poorest of light conditions. As this is a competition style reticle the illumination was intentionally kept to a minimum as Burris wanted to avoid causing target obscurity which can occur if reticle illumination is too bright.
The 8-40×50 XTR II scope with the F Class MOA reticle is a huge seller and a big hit with within the shooting community, but in our opinion, the illumination feature offers minimal additional utility for the scope.
